Figure 16 shows the
false positive returned from this street sign image. Since the image was taken
in the spring, the trees do not have any foliage, and are thus misclassified
by the neural network. Additionally, the power and telephone lines cause misclassification
of the upper sky regions. The combination of these two cause the areas between
the power lines to be identified as containing primarily non-sky pixels.
